Your Itinerary

What you'll do and where you'll go, from the day you arrive until you hop on a plane back home.
  • Day 1 Arusha
You’ll fly in over the glistening frozen peaks of Kilimanjaro (pray for a clear day) before stepping out into a wave of equatorial heat. A day or 2 of settling in and exploring the local highlights before getting started on your projects.
  • Day 2 Olevolos Orphanage Centre
With only 3 teachers running this whole centre, you'll be put to good use, helping with the cooking, washing up, serving food, teaching and of course playing with the children. You'll also help paint the classrooms and build a vegetable garden.
  • Day 14 Lake Manyara
A day safari through the lush forests and open grasslands surrounding the giant salt-water lake. Home to flocks of vivid pink flamingos and some of Africa's finest wildlife.
  • Day 15 Amani Orphanage
Amani Orphanage, is home to 40 kids who need help with the renovation of their home while messing about with impromptu football matches and general TLC.
  • Day 22 Islong Pre-Primary School, Arusha
Back in Arusha, Islong is a private school set up with limited funds. Our aim here is to contribute to their teaching facilities by painting murals, times-tables and other visual teaching aids all over the walls.
  • Day 28 Dar Es Salaam
A long bus ride west to Dar - hot, humid and boasting rich Swahili culture – you’ll feel a world away from the bush.
  • Day 29 Tageta Primary School
This school rely’s on private funds and local manpower to keep it going. With only 14 classroom, for over 1000 students, including the one that is currently being built by the leapers, our focus is to complete and build more, while organizing impromptu sports days.
  • Day 36 Zanzibar Adventure
A 4-day extended weekend on Zanzibar Island, where you can kick back on the beaches, strap on a snorkel to track down a turtle or head to the spice markets of Stone Town. (This is an optional, extra cost.)
  • Day 42 Dar Es Salaam
Nip back to the mainland to catch your flight home or carry on with a spot of independent travel.
