Your Itinerary

What you'll do and where you'll go, from the day you arrive until you hop on a plane back home.
  • Day 1 Kuching, Sarawak
You‘ll arrive in Kuching - an amazing cosmopolitan capital with old colonial quarters and trendy cafes along the shores of the Sarawak River. Here you will catch your breath, explore and prepare for weeks ahead.
  • Day 3 Rural Kuching
A short road trip to take you deep into the Sarawak jungle - a part of the world seen by few outside visitors. Here you will live in the heart of a local community helping to renovate community buildings and teaching English.
  • Day 15 Gunung Mulu National Park
An amazing World Heritage site, meander through the jungle and caves by river boat or high up on a canopy sky walk.
  • Day 17 Plantation School, Borneo Child Aid
Sabah - once covered in towering tropical rainforest, now covered in oil palm plantations. Here you will help teach at the Plantation Village School, set up for kids not entitled to state education.
  • Day 25 Sepilok Orangutan Centre
Next up is a few days at the world famous orang-utan rehabilitation centre where you’ll have time to visit the orang-utans at feeding time, before nipping off for a jungle river safari at Kinabatangan.
  • Day 29 Rainforest Camp and Trek
Time to learn basic survival skills and to test your resilience with a 5 day Bear Grills style camp and trek.
  • Day 36 Lupa Masa Beach, Kudat
Kudat, the new ‘must see’ place in Sabah, with empty beaches and perfect snorkelling waters. Help with beach clean up’s and making local handcrafts followed by sundowners on the hilltops.
  • Day 40 Kota Kinabalu
Return to the capital city of KK. Back to civilisation with bars, nightlight, waterfront, island hopping, KK has a lot to offer. Seize the opportunity to do some of our backpacker favourites: climb Mt Kinabalu, do a PADI course, island hop from KK or Kudat.
