I have absolutely loved my time with the Leap. The staff could not have been more welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you so much for making my time so amazing.
Spend ten weeks in Tanzania to teach local children, explore vast lakes, renovate remote school buildings, plant trees and live alongside some of the world’s most remote indigenous communities.
This program departs three times a year and is fully immersive, taking in all the sights and experiences you'll find described on the Tanzania page with plenty of downtime for you to explore the country as you please.
Whilst we recommend the full ten weeks for a complete experience, if you want to join this program in January, April or September and fly home after six weeks (or seven, or eight...), that's no problem. Just get in touch to arrange a return date and price to suit you.
Over the last 12 years we've taken thousands of young people overseas to experience the trip of a lifetime.
That success has drawn industry-wide recognition. We're an accredited member of the Year Out Group, an association designed to promote the benefits of well-structured gap year programs, and part of the equivalent organisation in the USA - the American Gap Association.
We're big on safety too; every one of our programs is carefully researched, audited and risk assessed in accordance with the British Industry Standards for organising and managing adventurous activities outside the UK.
You will also help with the tree planting around the village as its very dry and dusty - the trees help with land erosion and provide needed much needed shade.
