Your Itinerary

What you'll do and where you'll go, from the day you arrive until you hop on a plane back home.
  • Day 1 Nosy Komba
You ‘ll arrive on the main island of Nosy Be and hop on a boat transfer to the Turtle Cove Research Centre on the Volcanic island of Nosy Komba. The centre is adjacent to a pristine white beach and directly looking over into the Lokobe Forest Reserve - little slice of heaven.
  • Day 2 Forest Conservation, Nosy Komba
The forest covering Nosy Komba is home to the black, hawk's sportive, and mouse lemurs. Here you’ll get stuck into studying and monitoring the diversity of these species to identify changes in forest populations.
  • Day 14 Island Hopping
Hop on board a 50ft monohull boat to visit many of Madagascar’s remote islands. Adventure and exploring. Heaven.
  • Day 28 Community Teaching
Venture out to the local schools on Nosy Be and Nosy Komba to teach both kids and adults conversational English.
  • Day 42 Scuba Dive Training
For the next couple of weeks you’ll scuba train up to advanced level. We aim for you to dive 4 days a week, apart from the days taken up by theory sessions.
  • Day 56 Lokobe Nature Reserve
As soon as you are scuba advanced you will venture out into the Marine Protected Area around Nosy Komba to assist the Oceanographic Research Institute of Madagascar with reef data collection and turtle surveys. All the time seeing the most amazing underwater world.
  • Day 70 Nosy Be
You can either stay on to explore the rest of this amazing island at your leisure or head back home.
